The
house holds a privileged position, right in the centre of the town,
making it ideal for residential or B&B. It is unusual in that
it is open on 3 sides, most houses have only two or one side with
an open aspect. The house is very sunny with light and airy rooms.
Again this house is very unusual in that all, rooms are spacious.
The
house has been extensively renovated, we have used all local materials,
granite, slate, marble, chestnut wood and hand painted tiles. The
roof has been renewed and a sub roof and insulation have been installed.
The electric wiring, plumbing and drains are new. Doors and windows
were made in the traditional style by a local carpenter.The ground
floor has been damp proofed, all the flooring is new, and in the
traditional style.The house has been taken back to the stone walls
inside and out, and then re-rendered in keeping with the age of
the house.
The
house is accessed from a very quiet street through double wooden
doors. The entrance and inner entrance are floored in chequerboard
granite and slate.The main living area is on the upper floor to
take advantage of the spectacular views.
The stair treads are hand hewn granite, and the risers are hand
painted tiles. Upstairs is the living room and the dinning room,
kitchen and two bedrooms. Downstairs are two large double bedrooms

casa encontra-se numa localização privilegiada, no
centro da vila. Tem 3 frentes (a maioria das casas tem somente 2
frentes). Todas as divisões têm janela. As divisões
são espaçosas.
A casa
foi totalmente remodelada utilizando materiais tradicionais, granito,
mármore, xisto, castanho e azulejos pintados à mão.
O telhado é novo e foi instalado isolamento térmico.
As instalações eléctricas, a canalização
e os esgotos são novos. As portas e janelas foram feitos
no modo tradicional, por um carpinteiro. O rés-do-chão
foi totalmente isolado contra infiltrações e humidade.
A sala
de estar e a cozinha foram instalados no 1º andar para aproveitar
ao máximo as vistas. as escadas são de granito, moldado
por anos de uso. No rés-do-chão há duas casas
de banho, 2 quartos e um amplo hall de entrada, no 1º andar
há mais 2 quartos, uma cozinha, uma sala de jantar e uma
